ADE into Calibre?

This is actually an Adobe Digital Editions question. I just bought an e-book from Kobo, which downloaded with ADE. I want to bring it into Calibre into my library, but I can't find the file, only the download link. Does anyone know where ADE actually stores the epub files so I can add it to my Calibre library?

A search on either the author's name or the book title doesn't find it.

Thanks!

Did you actually use that link to download the book to your computer yet? I find my ADE books under My Documents\My Digital Editions\

You need to open the "acsm" file in ADE. That will initiate the download which, as dwanthny notes, will (under Windows) end up in your "My Digital Editions" folder. You can then drag it from there to Calibre. Note that you'll need to have the (ahem!) "tools" installed first.

I got the information I needed from the Kobo forum, and my problem is solved. I truly hate ADE - they don't make finding information easy.

and yes, I have the "tools" installed - I do love Calibre!

ADE works pretty well; it's just getting it all set up for the first time that's the nuisance. Even though I read on my Kindle, I buy a fair few ADE books. There are some books I can buy from Waterstones than Amazon don't sell.

I have a Sony PRS 650, and I find that ADE ebooks get downloaded to My \Documents\My Books\Reader Library. This is on Windows 7 (64 bit).

Yup, I use ADE to download books from my public library. Works well, and is actually fairly clean considering it's an Adobe program. Then I import into Calibre, and convert to Mobi for my Kindle.
