I'd like to be able to use Calibre to convert books from the command line on my Debian 6.0 Squeeze installation. I'm getting the following error:
ImportError: cannot import name QCoreApplication I saw some similar threads, but no resolution. Most cases people were told that 'you can't install on Debian Lenny, you'll have to upgrade to squeeze' Any help would be appreciated |

Of course I figure it out AFTER I post this:
apt-get install libqt4-dev apt-get install imagemagick got me going on squeeze. This is on a test server, so when I go into production, do I need libqt4-dev or can I just install libqt4? I'm assuming from here I'll just be able to use ./ebook-convert to take care of all of this. Time to dig in!! Thanks for your hard work! |

There are some notes on running Calibre on a server in the FAQ.
