Transferring multiple books via Safari to iPad?

I currently move books from my Calibre library to my iPad 2 by running the Calibre content server on my PC and connecting the iPad via wifi. I open Safari, view the Calibre library and then use 'Get' on each book one at a time to open the epub books in iBooks.

My question; is there any way to get more than one book at a time via this method? It gets tedious switching between iBooks and Safari.

I am afraid not. That limitation is inherent in the method.

If you are reading on ibooks, is there any reason you aren't just transferring via itunes? It's how I do it and I've never had any problems.

Yeah, that is what I do... even better I just tell Calibre to connect to iTunes, transfer that I need, then unmount iTunes and sync my iPad when I want

With iOS 5 we will be getting the ability to sync wirelessly, so no need to ever use the USB cable unless you want to!
