This operation is currently not supported
That is the message I get all of a sudden when I want to purchase a sample book on Amazon Kindle on my iPad 2. I have never seen this before. I can go to the Kindle website but not at the end of the chapter that am reading with at the end the option "buy book".
Also, what do you Apple iPad users buy from most, Kindle, Kobo, iBooks? |

Amazon took out links to their store that were in their app on the iPad. This applies to the link that used to be on the Home page of the Kindle and also to the link that was at the end of the sample book.
They did so to comply with Apple's rule that in-app purchases must send 30% of the purchase to Apple. Lots of threads on that decision... Marilyn |

Thanks! Haven't purchased ebooks for a while so i was not aware of these changes. Meanwhile I went to Kobo's website and got the book I wanted.

Sometimes Kindle if the deal's too good to pass up. Mostly, it's FictionWise (multi-format), BooksOnBoard or Kobo. With the coupons, I've been using Kobo a lot more for non-Agency titles. Nook, I just get the free ebooks. So far, I've never seen a title that's on promo on Nook that I couldn't get at the same price from Kobo.
