Hi,

my name is Ute. And the name should also give you a hint where I am from: Germany.

I 've been reading on a BeBook for the last three years and I have been very happy with it - glitches and all. I settled on it by reading MobileRead Forums - and I've wanted to say a sincere thank you to all forum members ever since!

But my e-friend is getting old and even more glitchy (if there is such a word) so I am looking for a replacement. I cannot decide among Kindle, Nook, or BeBook Neo. But I have to make up my mind soon - a friend is travelling to the U.S. next week and promised to bring me one. I've combed through the discussions, enjoying mgmueller & Harry T, in particular. I'll let you know what I decide.

I've got none of those readers, but ... Well, all offer good quality and nearly the same features nowadays (ok, the neo has something special to offer, the WACOM-panel and DRM-epub-support).

Seems to be more of a question of which ebookshop and shopsystem you do prefer. If you are not that dependent on buying stuff but plan to use the "Onleihe"-System that many of the german public libraries now employ and don't mind the shorter intervals between reloading the battery ... I'd go for the bebook neo.

Just my 50 ct.

Hello Beachwanderer,
good point about the Onleihe - I never thought about it as I read mostly in English - the German offerings being pretty slim so far.

I dropped the Nook from my list, mainly for lack of support in Europe. Daring thought: get both the Kindle and the Beo? With a Kindle paid in $ instead of € and a refurbished Beo? Hmm. Might work.
