Viewing .CBR files in Caliber
Hi,
I have Calibre 0.8.14 and when I click on view a .CBR file (a comic book). It pops up a message saying "Adding...." and after couple of seconds shows below message "?? Books ith the same title as the following already exist in the database. Add them anyway? "This does not happen with .pdf and .ePub files. This is happening in Macbook pro. I have the same version of Calibre in Ubuntu 10.1 and it does not happen there. All I did on my backbook was to import all 357 files of .CBR at once and after that this problem began I would appreciate your help Regards Aku Last edited by bmwr1200c; 08-14-2011 at 05:31 PM. That would imply that a book with matching author/title is already present in the library. I would think that this is due to the way you're reading metadata- probably your CBR files all have the same metadata? If so, try another method of reading metadata on import.

No, my files do not have same meta data. I tried different files with .CBR extension and all behave the same way. I could not see all the files that I could see before. This is a wired behavior

Did you maybe associate Calibre to add books to the library on double clicking a CBR file? If you have CBR selected to open in an external viewer, then the above would happen.
