Author Sorting Screwed up

I have been using Calibre for a few months and am pretty good at figuring things out but this one threw me.

I Had all my authors sorted FN then LN and under author sort LN, FN

But today when I was looking at my sorting half my authors were correct where the rest were LN, FN in the author column. The author sort column is still the same.

Obviously I did something but not sure what.

I looked for another post like this but didnt find one, sorry if im repeating something already asked.

Fixing that should be pretty easy: Select the books where the author field is wrong, use the metadata search & replace in the bulk metadata edit dialog, search for

Code:

(.*?),\s(.*?)

in the author field and replace with

Code:

\2 \1

(Note that the search mode needs to be regular expression for this to work.)
