Amazon snatches up Kindle related domains, Kindle Air rumors start circulating

This looks really interesting. Amazon has registered the domain Kindleair.com through their MarkMonitor corp. I don't know if this is just protective registration to keep anyone else from grabbing the domain, or maybe if it's connected to the probable upcoming Amazon Android tablet, or something else entirely.

Markmonitor is a brand protection company. Odds are that they just picked up a batch of domains to fend off squatters.

This is just another example of bloggers who have zero patience for new swag.

Well, you can't accuse Amazon of resting on their laurels, anyway. I've been very pleased with the improvements in the Kindle line thus far, though I'm one of those who doesn't see the need to move beyond e-Ink, and I already have a tablet.
