Calibre not launching.

Hi, installed Calibre but when I launch it the following window appears.

Python functions terminated unexpectedly. WSAStartup failed:error code 10107(Error Code 1).

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, got rid of calibre program files, metadata.dll, etc, lots of tactics seeved from different forums. Same problem.

Any advise appreciated, first time ebook user.

That error code indicates a failed system call, which means you have a corrupted system dll or two on your machine. Just google that error message to get suggestions on how to fix it.
