charging cell phone from pocket edge
the past few nights have been charging my droid incredible from the usb port on the pocket edge.
I use them both for an alarm clock and I am short an outlet next to my bed. I am wondering if it's going to deteriorate my battery faster than normal? or any other adverse affects. Thanks Chris |

Is the DI 5v, 1A? I think it will trickle charge from a standard USB port, which is 500mA. You may want to check; I know my Droid (1) is 5.1V, 850mA and it does weird things if it doesn't get 5.1V.
In any case I wouldn't chain it that way unless it's an emergency. Any charge/drain can shorten battery life, if only a little. A UPS is supposed to get replaced or a new battery every 2-3 years. |

Not the best idea for long term use especially considering some of the problems that have been encountered with the hardware.
Personally I would use a power strip and plug the chargers into that, then there is no problems with lack of power sockets. |
