ereader greek language
Hello, My name is Eva and I live in NYC. I would like to purchase an ereader that supports the Greek language. Does anyone have any ideas which one I should purchase? I want to read fiction books from American authors as well as international authors. Thank you, Eva

Hello Eva, and welcome to Mobileread. I think the Kindle 3 supports Greek, and here's a Greek website about ereaders which might be useful.

Pretty much any reader should support modern Greek. Not in terms of its user interface, but certainly in terms of actually displaying books.

Two things: first, I have spoken to a lot to a lot of different owners of many different book readers and I have learned this, there is one reader that specializes in non-enlgish books, and it sounds like to me this is what you need. The Bookeen is the reader that I am speaking of http://bookeen.com/en/, it may not be the simplest to use (thats the Kobo), it does not have the best methods of handling books (thats the Nook Simple Touch), its not the cheapest (thats smart phones) but it does foreign langueges such as greek. I would also recommend that you visit el.openoffice.org - this is a free office suite in greek similar to Microsoft Office.

Good to have your company, Eva. Bookeen would seem to be the way to go. Happy e-reading and best wishes. Neil

Greek ebooks
Hello Thank you everyone for your replies.
I will research all the information given and decide very soon. I also will need a good source for purchasing ebooks in Greek. I'm looking for popular contemporary fiction, mystery, international writers that have been translated into Greek. Thank you again for all your help. Eva |
