Is there a webpage to check a Kindle's warranty status?

Many companies have a webpage to check the warranty status of something using the serial number. Does Amazon have one for the Kindle?

I think the closest you might find is the page where you can see when you actually bought the Kindle. I could be wrong of course. But if a Kindle is under warranty for a yr and you bought it x many months ago it should be easy to do the math.

I've never seen one. We had to search through old orders on the Amazon website to remember when we bought my son's Kindle.

To answer my own question. No. I checked with Amazon. They seem to base it off of the account it's attached to. What happens if you don't attach it to any account for a year? Does that mean the warranty doesn't start until then?

I always thought the warranty was from the purchase date.

But ...... Amazon is pretty lenient about covering things that aren't covered under warranty anyway.
