Wall Street Journal Masthead Page

The Wall Streeet Journal (free) masthead page never changes on my Nook Color. It always shows The front page from the Ted Kennedy Brain Tumor.

Is this a recipe issue or a Wall Street Journal issue?

The Washington Post Masthead changes daily to reflect the newspaper's front page.

First, that's not a masthead, that's the cover. They mean different things in recipes.

The front page that shows the Ted Kennedy Brain Tumor on the free WSJ recipe has that cover as a fixed never-changing image. It could possibly be rewritten to pick up a current cover - the non-free version does that. You could look at the non-free version and see if where it gets its cover is available, then adapt the code. If that cover bothers you, you could easily change to another image.

Thanks for correcting my terminology.

On rereading it, I realize my post was written in haste and sounded a bit preachy - sorry I wasn't trying to correct your terminology. I was trying to explain that you can have a recipe add a "masthead" to the top of pages, as well as a "cover" that appears at the front. It's a nice feature, but it takes more effort to find a suitable masthead, so lots of recipes don't use that feature.

No problem at all. I just went with the generic Calibre cover. When I show others how Calibre is working for me ( I am not a super techie) I did not want to have to explain that dated cover. Thanks.

I'm often surprised at how hard it is to find a current "cover." A lot of online mags seem to think they don't need one. Others have one, but hide it in the archives. You should know it's easy to replace that cover in a custom version of your recipe. Just do a search in Google images or the like to find a cover image you like better, then replace the one line in the recipe that points to the cover.
