Has Anyone Adapted an Oberon Cover for a 350?

Howdy All,
I have been searching the threads for those of you who have modified Oberon journal covers for use with Sonys, and all I can find are PRS-650 mods.
I was able to buy a PRS-350 (including cover) on Kijiji for $100, which I plan on giving to my wife. (She says she dosn't want an upgrade from her 300, but for $100 here in Canada where they retail for $200, I couldn't resist!) Anyways, I'd love to get her a blue dragonfly pond cover from Oberon, but since they don't offer covers for the Sony, I was wondering if anyone had successfully adapted a journal cover or one of the Nook covers to suit a 350.
I have sent an email to Oberon and recieved the usual boiler plate blah blah if we get enough interest we might offer cases etc, but I'm not holding my breath.

To be honest, I find my 650 a slightly tight fit using an adapted small journal cover; a cm or two more cover all around would feel slightly less ... I dunno ... shoehorned in. Without actually having a 350 in hand, I suspect it'd probably be either just right, or leave a cm or so "extra" room at most, definitely wouldn't be at all "dwarfed" or "swallowed up" inside. I used duct tape as a buffer both on the unit and the inside of the cover, just in case.

I have a 350, and a 650, and an Oberon cover for my 650. The Oberon cover has about 1/8" of edge sticking out around the 650. I took my 350 and set it on top of the 650 in the cover. With the 350 pressed up against the center spine, there is about 1/2" of cover sticking out on the other three sides. It's the same on all three sides, so it would look fairly well balanced in there. I think it could work and look nice.

Thanks for the replies.
I might end up ordering one after all.

UPDATE

Well I decided to just order an Oberon small journal and see what happens. I figured that if it didn't fit the 350, my wife would have a very nice new journal.
Anyways, it arrived today, and I am pretty darn pleased. My wife LOVES it. The official 350 Sony cover fits inside the Oberon Journal cover fairly nicely. There's a bit (~1/2") of space all around the Sony cover, but all in all it looks pretty sharp!
I might have to recheck to see what they have. I might be ordering one for myself now, although I'd have to do a DIY attachment.

Wow, maybe I should order an Oberon for my 350.

Does anyone know if a 650 will fit in an Oberon 505 cover?

Sony has offered me a 650 in exchange for $99 and the 505 they can no longer replace the battery for. I'd really love to be able to still use my Oberon cover, as I really adore it.

I suppose I'll know when the 650 gets here, but I was just wondering...

A bit off the point of your question, but I believe I still have a silver 505 (with working battery) and a spare 505 battery that I bought "just in case" before I bought my 650.

Send me a PM if you are interested in either or both.

Thank you! But I already told Sony I'd go for the 650, which is now paid for and in transit. Which means I don't have the 505 any more. But thank you for the offer.

The inside dimensions (where the reader would be) are 7 1/8" high by 5 1/4" wide by approximately 6-7/16" deep.
