I discovered a app market called getjar.

It works great for my EE however it does not work for the PE. When i go to the page with the PE the browser gives an error. this happens even using the dolphin browser.

The cool thing about this site is is actually will only display the apps that are compatible with your device. (and they support the EE/PE)

This app site has a quite a few apps that are normally only found on google market.

I am wondering if there is a setting that i need to make on the PE to allow this to work. Weird that it would work on EE but Not on PE.

Huh...I installed Getjar on my Tab - seems to work with no issues. Wish I could be of more help :/ You email those guys yet?

I'm a tiny bit suspicious about "Download installer helper app." Usually things like that happen BEFORE you download things. This looks a little bit drive-by to me. Did you notice that there are almost no COMMENTS for various apps?

it is a bit of an odd place, but I've used it and it worked, I don't plan on keeping it around though(I'm a bit paranoid about those sorts of things)...

^^ Indeed - agree with you both.

I need to clarify - Getjar installed when I was grabbing one of the Angry Birds games. It works, seems to not run all the time in Open Task Killer, but yes, I don't install this kinda stuff on my PCs so this won't stay long on my Tab.

Just confirmed that it seemed to work OK.

Wasn't GetJar where Angry Birds was first released?

^ dunno. Am pretty new to Galaxy Tab ownership - I had the PC version of AngryBirds for a long time, but I first noticed Getjar recently when grabbing the [free!] Android versions of the game.

PS: I have all Angry Birds games for Android and have today uninstalled Getjar - it suddenly seemed to want to autorun so I said "Adios".
