ARCHANGEL

Well, I'm new here, so I'll get this over with right off the bat. Yep, I do have a very pluggable new novel out--a 5-star-rated Suspense Thriller (some call it a Romantic Suspense) entitled ARCHANGEL. Not Y.A.P.V.S.T. (Yet Another Paranormal Vampire Supernatural Thing), not thinly veiled smut, and despite its depth absolutely not a dogma-pusher either. This one really deserves the title by virtue of story line and nature of the main character. It's far and away the best title for this story, and I personally feel it's one of only two stories ideally worthy of the title (the other being the very different work by Robert Harris about discovering the ambitious plot of the son of Stalin).

ARCHANGEL is an eBook so far (on all known sales channels), and I'm working on the cover art to enable the paperback, which will be out soon. My page, for the record, is: http://www.vorhis.com/FreeFlight-Pub...Archangel.html

I'm really pleased with the to-die-for reviews submitted by discerning readers (and other authors I've never met!) up to now. In the eleven years of its making, I sought to hold a high standard of thematic dignity and literary style. Recently a reader contacted me and compared it to the work of Steinbeck; I had to ask him, "Now, do you mean John Steinbeck the author, or Bud Steinbeck the shoe salesman from Shrevesport?" But if one reader in a hundred is possessed enough to even hint at names like that, even from a drunken stupor, we all know it leaves us floating on air. And so right now I float, for as long as the helium lasts.

I have to say I love Suspense. It feeds needs intellectual and experiential alike; it feels like action and intrigues like mystery. It allows a tale to center on the characters and what they would really do. Mine out-vote me at every turn: "No, we ain't doing that, fool; that's stupid, and the plot ain't going there, so just put that damned stubby little pencil down. We'll let you know what we're doing when we do it. You kin tag along if you want, but keep yer mouth shut and stay outa our way. And bring an eraser. Fool!"

Anyway, if you love real characters who can grapple with real dilemmas and whose strength emanates from courage instead of hardware, and if complex, potentially redeemable villains add to your enjoyment, and if you love Suspense and an intricately crafted but still plausible plot, then consider adding ARCHANGEL by Michael Vorhis to your life. The eBook version will cost you about the price of one gulp of bargain coffee, and should stay in your head and heart weeks after you finish it. Yep, I guarantee.

Thanks for reading this through to the end!
