I think they do have some emanga over at Amazon.

I believe Comixology and Grapic.ly have the largest selections of digital comics, though they're read on apps and browsers not e-readers. I can't say from personal experience how much are B&W or Manga, I mostly read Superhero books.

The Viz app didn't used to be available for iPhone and iPod Touch and I wanted to buy as much manga as I can while they were on sale for $1 each. There are also a few stray mainstream titles (Vampire Hunter D, I think?) and a bunch of BL stuff on Kindle. Not sure about B&N or ADE.

I think Phil Phoglio sells Girl Genius and other titles from his website.

Setting up a scanner and making your own isn't that hard - just time consuming.

Thanks for the tips. I'm in Sweden so I was hoping I could get access to more graphic novels in English via my e-bookreader (e-ink) without having to sacrifice more shelf space.

I don't think you'll get many on Amazon because of the fees they charge publishers for transfer — they're based on file size, and anything with images is going to be quite big.

There's also Clickwheel, don't know if they have much Jap stuff though.

DriveThruComics has some, mostly indie, but they're all PDF, and mostly letter-sized. They do carry enough freebies to figure out if you like their system, and they regularly have sales & bundle discounts.
