Calibre Portable : Problem with proxy

Hi

I have a weird problem with the portable version on Windows XP.

I have read this thread :

when I launch the command :

Code:

calibre-debug -c "from calibre import get_proxies; print get_proxies()"

It give me the proxy used by my system.
To be sure, I also have set the HTPP_PROXY variable (checked by "set" in a command line)

Now if I launch "calibre-portable.exe" it doesn't work ! I can't fetch Metadata and in "Preferences->Miscellaneous", it say "no proxies used"

However, if I launch "calibre.exe" from the subfolder "Calibre" it works nicely and in "Preferences->Miscellaneous", I see my proxy

Can you explain me why ?
And what is the difference between "calibre-portable.exe" and "calibre.exe" (I saw that it use a different profile, but is it writing something to the registry?)

Ok, I reply to myself !

Finally, the problem seems to not be with calibre but with the 8Start the menu launcher I used for my USB hard drive.

It's really strange, when I launch calibre from the menu, the proxy isn't detected, when I launch it from the file explorer it works without problem ...
