Question Can't Make Books into Chapters with Manga

I've uploaded manga (Japanese comics) to Calibre, but I don't know how to get them to turn into separate volumes. Right now it's reading them as books in a series, but I would like them to be condensed into different chapters in a few volumes (like a Table of Contents). Thank you for any and all help provided.

PS. I am very new to this, so if you tell me I need to edit some HTML and such, I'll have no idea what you're talking about. :P

Ack. I tried it and it won't work. My Windows 7 doesn't support the file type and Calibre doesn't seem to recognize it, so it won't convert. It keeps trying to open it up in ComicRack, but that won't work either.

What file type are you using then?

I was trying to use the .CBC file type from the calibre User Manual.

Hmm, that seems to just be a standard ZIP file with the files organised in a specific way. What is the exact error message when you try to convert it with Calibre?

I created a ZIP file with the required contents, renamed it to be a .cbc file and then added it to Calibre and converted it OK.

The error message you gave is from Windows if you try to open a file it does not recognise. If you want to open the .CBC file outside Calibre then you are going to need a program that recognizes that format.

Sorry, I gave the wrong image. I fixed it now.

I'll give what I've done in step-by-step:
1. Zipped the files individually to .CBZ format.
2. Zipped the files in bulk and changed it to .CBC format.
3. I dragged the .CBC files to Calibre.
4. Added the info.
5. Tried to convert.

Unfortunately the warning/error message is not visible in the screenshot.

The best way to show the message is to press the Copy to Clipboard button so that you can post the whole conversion log into a message (surround it with SPOILER tags).

One thing I fell foul of the firs time I tried was to not create the comics.txt file in UTF-8 format - that might be something to check for.

The problem might be that I forgot to put a comics.txt file in UTF-8 format in the .CBC file, so I'll try and fix that. -_-;;;
Also, thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it!

That error means no file named comics.txt was found at the top level of the CBC file, did you put it ina subdirectory?
