Since I have a Kindle I'd like Fetch news to save the output as MOBI files and not ePUBS. I searched the help file and looked everywhere in the UI, but I cannot seem to find an option to change the default output format from ePUB to MOBI. How do I make Calibre save the news as mobi files?

Preferences: Common Options: and set your output profile to the reader you wish to send News to. The reader choice determines some of these parameters (and does not matter to others, like exporting (send to/save to) a book). |

Since the user cannot quickly tell which reader has been selected as the output device, I think it would be nice, if Kovid could add an extra drop-down list box to the Sending Books to Devices dialog box to quickly change the output device. This would be useful to people who have two different kinds of ebook readers with different default ebook formats. |

If anything, there should be a request that is specific to News fetching to be able to specify multiple target types to be generated on a fetch. Perhaps also a more prominent display the current profile in the UI? |

I verified that this setting is set to Kindle, yet I still get my news fetched as EPUB. That is, when I click on the fetched news entry on the main screen and look the right, it says Formats: EPUB. How can I fix this or investigate further?
