Strange Author Sort

Hello,

greetings to all and thank you reading the post. I am using calibre for a weeks now, still cleaning up my database.

But yesterday, after changing a large author entry something went wrong.

By sorting with Author I do see only the following entries:

-> Authors
-> 5.00 - 0.00 [50]
-> 0.00 - 0.00 [50]
-> 0.00 - 0.00 [50]

...

-> 5.00 - 0.00 [50]

Does anybody knows where to look to change this strange sorting?

This is what I have installed:

Windows 7, with Current Calibre 0.8

This is what I have done so far:

- Checked database
- Changed Sorting of Authors to none, changed it backed.
- Restart.

If you are looking in tag browser, then I suspect that you have accidentally changed the value in the 'sort by' drop down at the bottom of that tag (or one of the others of the three dropdowns available).

I think the default values are:
- sort by name
- Match any
- Manage authors, tags etc

In addition to what itimpi said (changed to "sort by average rating"), you have also selected "Partition" as the sub-categorization scheme. You may have intended to do that, or perhaps not.

To change the sub-categorization scheme, right-click on any entry and go to the last item in the context menu.
