How do you hold your KT when reading?
I'm right handed but I usually hold it in my left hand with the bottom left corner in the cradle of my palm.
I use my left thumb to swipe forwards. Sometimes I'll hold the device with both hands and use my right thumb to tap forwards. What about you? Post pics if you can! |

I hold my Touch with two hands. My right hand is top-rightside, my left hand is bottom-leftside. I use my right hand to tap both left and right page turns.

WHEN SITTING: I'm right handed, mostly I hold it in my left hand with middle of the KT in the crook of my thumb/hand and use the left thumb in the lower right corner of the screen to tap. Fingers of the left hand behind the KT to support it, knuckle of thumb on the front to hold it in place.
LYING DOWN: with my right hand crooked at a 90 degree angle to my arm holding the top of the KT and the edge of the KT on my arm and use the left hand to tap. |

I alternate. When I'm at work I don't even hold it. I lay it flat on the desk and just tap when I need to turn the page. So far the best is either left or right, but never both at the same time.

I use my right with with my thumb hovering over the page for turns or left if I'm juggling things. As well when reading while eating I lay it flat on the table and flip with whatever hand is free.

1) Pinched by the very bottom corner edge in one hand (right or left), one or two two fingers behind. The reader resting on the ring or index finger taking the weight. Swipe or tap the very bottom corner with my thumb (and bring up the options menu a lot :P)
2) Either hand wrapped around the back with fingers on the top edges and 2 sides. I could hit the page turn bar at the very edge of my jetBook using this method. I have to 2 hand the KTouch or else I'm bringing up the options menu again. 3) Held by the very top corner in my left hand. Fingers on the back, thumb near the top left corner just below where the top bevel meets the side one. Swipe thumb to turn the page. Again my jetBook bar would support this. I'm almost getting the hand of swiping right to left to advance but a downswipe on the -left- of the screen to advance would be handier. 4) Sideways laying in bed where the long edge sits on the mattress ![]() 5) Other left handed thumb on the left bevel fingers on the back variations. I would really like to have a downswipe/upswipe anywhere on the screen to be added in. Down = go forward, Up = go back a page -- including diagonals for less than perfect swipes. That would make left handed thumb swipe page turns far less awkward. Last edited by artifact; 06-20-2011 at 02:17 AM. |

I am not left handed but I did use my left hand regularly with the original and wifi models. I held those with my palm behind the device and used my index finger of my left hand to advance. I have been pretty exclusively using my right with the touch and my thumb to advance. But I sometimes use my left to hold the device and use my right to advance. I would use my left hand more with the KTouch if I could reverse the page turn options so that tapping on the left side of the screen advanced the page and the right went backwards. Of course I use a right-handed mouse at home and a left handed (buttons reversed) at work so I am hardly in the majority. Tim |

Here's how I generally hold it; I just rock my thumb onto the screen to change pages.
