Kobo desktop can't find the internet?

So...today, kind of at random, my Kobo desktop app decided it didn't want to find the internet anymore. Anyone else having this problem--and better yet, does anyone know how to fix it?

For the record, everything else can find the internet no problem and I have exceptions set for the kobo app on my firewall and my antivirus software.

Howdy,

Try hitting CTRL-SHIFT-P. You may have accidentally toggled our hidden proxy support.. which will make your desktop not find the Internet if there is no actual proxy.

Unfortunately, that didn't fix it

Any other ideas?

UPDATE: I updated my adobe reader and apparently, that somehow fixed it (I have no other explanation for it suddenly deciding to behave other than that).

....or not. Does the app not play nice with Chrome?
