Reformat Sony Connect Books?

Just got my Reader this past weekend and have been having a blast with it.
So far I've mostly just been playing with BookDesigner (following the great help in various threads on here!) and reformatting PG files.

I'm not a big fan of the margins used on the pre-loaded books that came with the Reader. I am guessing that this same formatting is most likely used with any books that are bought from Sony's Connect store? If I purchase books from their site, am I able to reformat the margins/fonts the way I would like? I am guessing the answer is no, based on some of the DRM threads I've followed on here, but I know you guys will know for sure.

Many thanks for any help!

You're guessing correctly, unfortunately. On both the margins being typical, and that the books aren't re-formatable.

It was kicked around a lot when the Reader first launched, but it hasn't been discussed for some time. The formatting on ConnStore books is widely considered ... disagreeable, at best, and the descriptions go downhill from there, all the way to unprintable. And a rapid descent it is, too.

Well, I do have to say that I prefer my formatting better.

Heh, I think everyone would prefer your formatting to ConnStore's, JSWolf.

My feeling is, I have the screen space, why not use it. I've seen some books uploaded that also have too much margin. And besides, the more on a page, the more the battery lasts between charges.
