Mains Charger

I have a Sony 650 Touch Edition. I recently purchased a charger from amazon but, although the red light came on when I plugged it into the mains, the ereader did not charge. I checked that the reader was OK by plugging it into my laptop via the cable supplied and that worked fine. I complained to Amazon who have now sent me 2 more, both of which don't work. Does anyone have any advice?

How do you judge?

While using a Mains-Charger no "Charging-Screen" comes up!

The Battery-Symbol in the status bar is added by a little arrow and the red LED comes up. You can use the reader while charging with a Mains-charger.

Hello

When you connect the PRS-650 to the mains through the charger, the red-light will come on. The display will continue to show your screensaver picture. Within 2 hours, the battery-light will go off to indicate the charge is complete. Disconnect from mains. Switch-on the reader to confirm the battery-indicator shows 'full' status.

HTH.
