Sony enters the dualbook fray
I've seen several announcements about the forthcoming Sony S2 Honeycomb table, with two 5.5" dual screens. This frustrates me, for a couple of reasons:
1)It just shows that Entouage was ahead of th curve--people want dual screens--and blew it 2)Why is nobody innovating with eink, or trying to integrate ink into these dualscreen configurations? 3)What good are two 5.5" screens?? http://www.chipchick.com/2011/04/sony-s1-s2-tablet.html |

Have you noticed that they, too, continue to use the laptop metaphor, whereas enTourage used the book metaphor? I consider these "dual screen" devices poor replacements.

It doesn't look like Sony considers either one of those tablet things a reader. They appear to be aimed at the iPad-using, multi-media-consuming crowd, rather than the more intellectual reading-and-annotating types like us. ;-)

And Imperial, in your case, Ken! Psst! Go learn and grow up, Sony! |
