Slow boot time "solution"
I note that some people including myself have complained about the slow boot time of the Edge. I timed it and it takes 70 seconds not exactly a long time but I suppose we grow impatient in this instant gratification world. A simple solution that I now employ is to switch my Edge on several minutes before I am actually going to use it. Most of us know when we are going to settle down to some reading or studying and it is just a mind set adjustment to hit the button in advance so that when you are ready the unit is already booted and waiting to go.

Yup, sometimes I'll switch on, then go get a drink or whatever I'll want for settling in.

I've said it before, but I'll mention again that my solution for the slow boot time is not to turn mine off and just put it to sleep instead.

My solution is patience. Reptilian patience. You have to smile the whole time, of course, like a reptile.
