Entourage Pocket eDGe- Initial Charge

For fear of sounding lame, I'm gonna ask anyway... how long does it take the EPE to charge initially? I just realized that the the little LED light will blink green when the unit is charging but I want to know how long it will take before I can use it for the first time.

Welcome to the forums, sammieb77

You can start using the eDGe right away if you keep it plugged in. It takes 3-4 hours to fully charge the first time.

Really?! Nice! Because my husband was saying that to get optimal battery usage in the future I need to let it fully charge initially... I "charged" it overnight, but the handy little LED wasn't blinking... so, it obviously wasn't charging.

Yes, the battery does need to fully charge - before you unplug the power cable - the first time.

When I first got my PE, silly me I plugged the AC into the earphone jack of the PE, not the power jack. The power jack is near the hinge. Check to make sure you had it plugged in correctly and fully.

It's in the correct jack now... I don't know if I did it wrong last night. I certainly wouldn't be surprised! Thanks!

You're in good company

If the green power LED is now on and blinking, then you can either wait 3-4 hours for it to stop blinking, or you can start using your eDGe.
