Hi goldy319,

The problem you are having is exactly what it is telling you. Adobe already has an account registered with your same e-mail address. This may be yours, or it may be someone else who used a bogus e-mail address for Adobe on some other system and happened to register under your name. If you have another e-mail address, try using that one. If not, make one up. Make sure you write it and your password down, as that will be your login to the enTourage store to manage your Pocket eDGe. Also make sure your password is eight characters with at least one number and one letter in it...abcdefg1 or 1234567a are valid passwords.

Let me know if you don't get it working.

I had this same issue. I had registered before I got my pocket edge. My issue was that my password did not meet the requirement. I changed my password at the website (to meet the requirement) and was able to logon via the pocket.

Angry

thank you dontpanic & stephenc for replying, this is driving me crazy, i went to the entourage website & registered & i even tried that password. i just now put in my verizon email password & an error came up saying network connection error. please try again.--code 9, but yet i put my wep # in & it came up excellent connection & shows a full strength signal at top of screen. i know i'm using the correct password for my live id email which is msn, i also tried my verizon email & password & the same. is there any way to use this w/o registering for now until i can get this solved with a phone call to them on monday? i have an actiontec router, model # M1424WR. some people were saying thier routers were old & had to have settings applied to the pocket edge, i wonder if that's the case with me, although i don't think so because according to the screen it shows i'm connected. i'm so confused, you have the right name "dontpanic" because that's just what i'm doing now lol. tia for any help

It is your Adobe password and the email associated with your Adobe account you need to register the edge with. Use the same email for any other sites you use to buy books on as well.

To put it another way, the password you need for your Adobe email isn't the password you use to get your email. It's the password associated with your Adobe account.

I believe if you go to the following link, you can retrieve your Adobe password associated with the email address: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/members...loc=en_us&nl=1.

Hi Goldy319. If you don't have an adobe account (I didn't either) then whatever password you used when you registered the eDGe should be correct. At least, that's my understanding.

hi dr.t, i noticed on the screen it shows the wifi connection at the top of the screen from top to bottom three bars & a circle, in the user guide it was showing the wifi from left to right long ways. when i go to enter my wep # it says connection excellent & thats before i hit connect. maybe i think i'm connected but not. i used my email & the entourage pw i created for the store & that doesn't work either. thats why i'm leaning toward the wifi connection. my connection selection came up & i picked it & like i said i put in my wep # & pushed connect. i'm really sorry for repeating myself but i'm just so frustrated now. i want to thank everyone for trying to help me. it's extremely appreciated. thank God for you people & the help you offer.

I'm sure other people would have more insight, but if your wifi is showing up in the notification bar (the area at the top of the LCD screen... active wifi looks like a dot with three horizontal arcs above it), it should be on.

Go into Settings>Network and Controls. Is the green check next to "Wi-Fi" on? What does it say directly under that (eg, connected to XXXXnet)?
Touch "Wi-Fi Settings". Under the gray bar labeled "Wi-Fi networks", what do you see? This area should show any available networks. If the appropriate one is listed, your wifi is working, I would think.

If nothing else, providing this information might help others on the forum figure out your problem.
Good luck!
