Hotmail
The hotmail website doesn't seem to work in the default browser. When I try and go the website all I get is a blank white page without anything on it. I have cleared the the cache and web history, but it doesn't seem to help. It does work in dolphin but I really don't like dolphin too much. Any ideas?

I get the same when my browser is in Desktop mode (Hotmail may be using Silverlight).
Change your Browser Mode to Mobile then "Go" to www.hotmail.com so that the site can properly re-recognize the browser. You should then see the Windows Live login screen. |

BTW, the built-in email app should be able to connect to Hotmail directly, without needing to use a browser. Check out https://www.entourageedge.com/suppor...barticleid=122 for instructions.

direct connection would definitely be better, thanks . . . tried the instructions though (also the ones here: https://www.entourageedge.com/suppor...leid=216&nav=0) and am getting "setup could not finish / cannot connect to server [unable to open connection to SMTP server" error. gonna try starting over.

Hmmm. This could be a temporary problem. Give it 15 minutes to an hour and try again.
I'm assuming you do have an internet connection and can browse websites like microsoft.com without a problem... |

Hi Boris,
I've Changed my Browser Mode to Mobile, the site still not opening? Should I just download Dolphin Browser instead?, as the internal mail apps unable to show hotmail folders correctly, and not to forget K-MAIL receive error from hotmail 'unable to retrieve mail less than 15 minutes' all the time ![]() |

Welcome to the forums, televisi
![]() The Doplhin Browser is very popular and there's no harm in installing it. You can also try the MailDroid email program instead (you can find it on Slideme.org). I've switched to MailDroid from the K-9 email app and find MailDroid works very well (but I haven't tried it for Hotmail). |
