From Home office to multiple technical/construction work sites. My phone does every function of the eDGe...and more...and so much less.
On site reading of pdf operation/maintenance manuals. Annotating same with notes, pic, videos etc. and then emailing product in real time - with full details from journal. My compliments to the "Creators" of eDGe's form factor and initial capabilities. Without the additional 'improvements' which are coming I would rate the eDGe as only 'indispensible' at this time. P.S. Without the wacom journal it would be with a niece at school. If anyone 'duplicates'(?) Windows OneNote for android...Wow!!! |

I primarily use the Reader and Journal at work (with an occasional diversion to Flight Frenzy/Frozen Bubble/Zoo Gem.) If I don't have time to convert office docs to PDF for the Reader then I'll try them in Docs2Go.
When not at work the Reader and Browser are the top apps with a nod to Wifi Analyzer to find good network connections. Last edited by kenjennings; 07-15-2010 at 08:52 AM. |

I use the journal a lot as my default, go-to handwriting tool and usually have communication apps on the LCD (email, twitter, Fring). But, I am easily distracted by games, too. Bebbled can keep me entertained for long stretches.

I use the journal and the reader most. And when on vacation the email app and the internet browser. Other apps I use, but less frequently, are HandyCalc, Droid48 and Calculus tools. The last one doesn't work very well on the edge. And now I am playing Frozen Bubble, but I am not really a gamer.

I am a writer and have been working on my book. I use the reader for pleasure reading a bit but it is mainly for my research and character information. It is very portable which makes it nice when I want to go out and about to work on my book.
It is also nice to have my book map for reference when I am out ( it previously hung on my wall by desk). I have several different reference manuals etc that I use. MailDroid is my fav email app. I use dropbox frequently. Fring - I am not too into though and would like to find a different app. |
