I tested it on a few different video sites. All errors and no video.

I did the trick to make it run full screen on the eDGe. Every video I've tried bails out with an error just as others have said it does unaltered.
However, I may like the browser itself better than dolphin if only because after adjusting Settings to not show the status bar (battery etc.) it also no longer shows eDGe's bottom icons. It's completely full screen, like dolphin was at first (then for some reason started showing those icons). And the zoom levels, so far, are coming out better in landscape than with dolphin for my taste. Interesting also is that you can set it to browse as either Android, PC, or iPhone. I wonder what, if any, difference the latter makes (untested as yet). This is just from about 30 minutes of playing around with it. More time is necessary to see if it runs into problems. |

A coworker just pointed me to this today and I was disappointed that I could not make any content work for me.

Sticky at the very top of this Android Apps forum: "App Fullscreen Converter Program", which includes a link in its first sentence to the original method of making Android apps full screen.
As everyone who's tried it on the eDGe have said, flash videos give errors and do not play. So there's little reason to bother making this full screen. |

Hm, an unexpected benefit to Skyfire: when set to browse as Android, at least one app download page allowed direct download of the APK when Dolphin and the default browser got the "device not supported" message. Apparently it fakes a phone well enough for that. (No need to alter it to full screen for this purpose, btw.)

html5 video?
I tried Skyfire on my G1 and it works, but does not translate the video on my edge. The Skyfire blog says this "You may hear Skyfire described as “making Flash run on mobile phones. Yet with Skyfire 2.0, we’re actually doing something distinct. We’re translating Flash videos (and soon others like Silverlight and WindowsMedia and Quicktime) into a format easier on your phone: html5 video" does the edge support html5?
