weird font margin solution herein...
The feedbook book finally got loaded onto my Sony ereader and all was going well until I boosted up the font size past medium. Then, what the heck? Super wide margins!
I tinkered and actually, amazingly, astoundingly - found the solution... Click (a real manual one, the five buttons at the bottom are not touch sensitive) the magnifying glass symbol (for enlarge options) and fingernail or stylus tap 'page mode'. Choose the second one on the right, 'margin cut'. That solved it. I have no idea why and frankly I don't want to know. But somehow I think somebody's going to tell you who want the behind the scenes reasons. |

Sort of - with the page mode in margin cut, one gets the notice from Computer Voodoo HQ: "The Create/Edit Notes" screen will be closed." And not just invisible either. The function of creating notes ceases to function. One can still *read* one's notes made before, but no additional notes can be made. This was not the case reading Jack London's John Barleycorn epub edition from Project Gutenberg. Why a medical book from feedbooks would be substandard I do not know.

I have found that margin cut works great on some books and doesn't work on others. And on still others, it works for the first page of the chapter and not subsequent pages (or was it the other way around? I don't remember). I guess it has to do with differences in how the margins are set up in the CSS file. Now if I encountered this problem I would just convert the file using the standards I have already set up in Calibre and CSS.
