Here's an interesting blog that shows how Amazon Marketplace Sellers use algorithms to price their books - Their prices depend upon what their competitors charge.
Unfortunately, they don't always pay attention to what their computers are doing, and in one case the price of the book was set at $23,698,655.93! http://www.michaeleisen.org/blog/?p=358# |
