Touch may be coming to Kindle.
A touchscreen tablet might be coming to the Kindle family in the near future says this article. The Nook color seems to be doing good. I guess the Kobo touch at $139 in Canada and $129 the US might be a good competitor for a E-ink touch screen Kindle. I personaly love the new PDF reader in the Kobo touch, looks awesome

Correction the new kobo is $129.

Yeah a touchscreen is kind of inevitable. (the kindle 3 looks big and clunky next to the new kobo) Personally I think IR touch screen plus physical page turn buttons is the way to go.

At first I was opposed to touch on e-readers, but now I've started getting sore thumbs from pressing the page turn button on my kindle, I think this would help...

The current Sony's and upcoming Kobo use IR technology instead of a touch layer on top of the screen (like the older Sony's did). This leaves the screen just as clear as a non-touch reader like the K3.

This article is for a Kindle tablet sorry for the misunderstanding I edited my post. But yes I think the Kindle 4 will be touch, it would eliminate the bulky keyboard.
