"Get Device Information" stalls at 100%
I'm not sure whether this is device-specific or not since I don't have another ebook reader to test it, but...
I'm using calibre on Ubuntu 10.10 with a Kindle 2. Since upgrading to 0.8.1, when I plug in my Kindle, calibre shows a notification saying that a Kindle has been detected, but then just sits there. The "Get Device Information" job seems to be stalling at 100%. Calibre doesn't throw an error message, but never gives me access to the device. I've let it run for upwards of 10 minutes with no luck. Any ideas? EDIT: This is apparently a distribution-specific problem, since this problem does not occur on a different machine running Ubuntu 10.04, also using calibre 0.8.1 and my Kindle 2. Try running calibre in debug mode, it might give you more info on what the problem is.
