idle version question
ok, so I rooted my nook a month or so ago and while attending a family party several of my relatives asked which version of android I used. I realized I have no idea. So I was wondering, after rooting is there a way to see which version is running?

Yes. In the launcher, start the Settings app. Once there, select "About tablet" (it's the last entry, maybe says "About phone" depending on your version). The 5th row is the Android version, 2.1 for Eclair, 2.2.x for Froyo, 2.3.x for Gingerbread.

You are using the stock launcher, when you said "I rooted", I assumed you were using CM7 or another flavor of "pure" Android. You seem to have NC's 1.2 update, which is based on Android 2.2., Froyo. NC's 1.0 and 1.1. were based on Android 2.1, Eclair.

If you autorootered then you did it from stock 1.1 because 1.2 doesn't have an autorooter yet, just a manual root. Stock 1.1 is a version of android 2.1 which is eclair. If you can't watch youtube videos then you're running eclair. If you can then you're on froyo.
