Jenny Lopez Has a Bad Week by Lindsay Kelk is a free promo short story designed to gain attention for her upcoming chick-lit novel The Single Girl's To-Do List.

That said, it seems to be a standalone rather than a tie-in since the main characters' names from either are completely different.

Not to mention the synopsis for the novel is giving me weird mental images, since when I see the name "Rachel Summers", I always think of the X-Men comics character. Mind you, I'd be curious enough to read a chick-lit novel with that premise.

Currently free from Amazon UK. Doesn't seem to exist in the US store, at least not from a Canadian perspective.

By the end of the day, she has arranged a viewing for a potential roommate, the gay blond aka the Sex God,secured two dates, and work looking after a top supermodel. Things look like they are back on track; everything is going to work out great. If only life was so easy…

This one is a bit wonky, with only a "Save for Later" showing up on the actual product page.

To get it to actually add to your library without showing a $0.00 price and instead have a button for direct ePub download (which means you'll be keeping the freebie permanently), click the author's name from the product page to get a listing of all her books. Then click "Add to Library" from that aggregate listing page, count to about 20 while you wait for the thing to change to "Added to…", and the issue should be fixed.
