Get gapps where it belongs from within CM7?

I'm running CM7 from a SD card, but don't have a SD reader aside from the NC and can no longer seem to access the boot partition over USB with my PC. I do have Root Explorer sideloaded: is there anywhere in the filesystem I can put the gapps package that it will get installed when I boot to recovery mode? Would that be the same place to put a new ROM?

I'd just spend thte $10 for an extra Micro SD card, it'll come with an adapter (unless you don't have an SD card slot on your PC, then I don't know)
