Backup ebook collection info?

Is there a way in iTunes to back up the collection information from iBooks? I created a bunch of collections to organize my eBooks on the iPad, but when I sync to iTunes all I see are a bunch of books. Any input would be appreciated.

I understand "collections" works on the iPad only and not out to iTunes. refer this this thread on another fourm:
