Free book (nook/Kindle) - Executive Guidance for 2011 [Business Self-Help]
Executive Guidance for 2011, by the Corporate Executive Board, is some sort of business advice thing, free courtesy of the Corporate Executive Board, obviously.
Their other current freebie is Becoming a Talent Champion. Currently free from B&N and Amazon (available to Canadians). Description As the world economy emerges from the Great Recession, 2011 will prove to be vital as companies seek to internalize key lessons and build new management disciplines that enable Intelligent Growth. In Executive Guidance for 2011, the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) looked at the differentiating factors of companies that consistently outperformed peers coming out of periods of economic turmoil. CEB’s findings brought a new sense of urgency: Successful companies operated very differently in the early stages of economic recovery, which is exactly the period that companies are planning against right now. Before you finalize your budgets, goals, and strategies for 2011, order your copy of CEB’s research to learn how to achieve Intelligent Growth for your company. |

I actually downloaded them, to see what they were. It looks more like a print copy of a power point sales presentation (there is a sales hook at the end). I'm not sure there is much actual business advice in either (and both are extremely short). At least you can do permanent delete from Amazon (where I got one); too bad you can't at a few other places (and B&N can have issues if your library gets too large, while Borders insists on syncing all the books to my Kobo reader, regardless of whether I want them or not).
Both are/were free from Sony. |
