NYTimes app on iphone

So, I noticed on my iPhone the other day that the NYTimes app was asking for login information. That's no problem -- I figured they'd have to start charging for content eventually. The thing is, I already have a digital subscription with nytimes.com, so I can access the website and the full paper via Adobe Air. However, this login info didn't work on my iPhone. Is it really possible that my digital subscription service doesn't cover the iPhone app? I couldn't seem to find the right page on their site to figure this out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Oh, yup, that's the issue. It turns out I have the Times Reader digital account, which is $20/mo. If I wanted to add iphone access, it would be another $15/mo to total $35/mo. Hmmm... I'm thinking that reading on my PC is just fine. And the Droid version I have on my NC isn't limited yet, but I guess it will be in the future. Unless maybe that version will count as a tablet app, in which case, it's included in my current subscription. If anyone's interested, here are the options they have now:

NYTimes.com + Smartphone App:* $3.75 per week (billed every 4 weeks at $15.00)

NYTimes.com from any computer or device
NYTimes app for BlackBerry, iPhone and Android-powered phones

NYTimes.com + Tablet App:* $5.00 per week (billed every 4 weeks at $20.00)

NYTimes.com from any computer or device
NYTimes app for iPad, plus Times Reader 2.0 and the NYTimes App for the Chrome Web Store

All Digital Access:* $8.75 per week (billed every 4 weeks at $35.00)

NYTimes.com from any computer or device
NYTimes app for BlackBerry, iPhone and Android-powered phones
NYTimes app for iPad, plus Times Reader 2.0 and the NYTimes App for the Chrome Web Store

They really need to simplify all that. And cut the price. Then I'm totally in.

True, which makes me regret cancelling it a while back
(along with all my paper deliveries, both newspapers and magazines)

I just hate seeing all that paper going to waste. That's why we cancelled our delivery service.
