I don't know why, but from some days ago I started to receive errors: when I add some book, when I create a column, when I create a library, when I move the books from a library to another....

That error is the operating system reporting an I/O error on the disk.
I would suggest that you do the following: - Run the OS level disk check on the drive holding Calibre - If that completes OK, run the Calibre database integrity check (click the down-arrow at the side of the Library icon and then select Library Maintenance->Check Library |

OperationalError: disk I/O error
That is a clue. You may have a damaged filesystem (run chkdsk.exe if windows) or a HD that is failing. I really don't think that Dat to day Calibre should be run on a flash device. They have limited lifetime write counts. |

itimpi, It won't let me run the OS level disk check on the drive holding Calibre. It tells me that windows won't check the disc while it's in use and I it won't let me scheduled it.
theducks, I ran chkdsk.exe. It sais that is just lecture and that I have errors and closed itself. What shold I do? Thanks in advice. |
