Thanks Hadrien. As tech-oriented as I am, I don't understand "typset crosswords using LaTex". Could you direct me to some pointers/tips on the subject? Thank you.

I believe Python and GTK have already been ported to the Iliad. If some kind soul could port PyGTK, could we get Xword (http://x-word.org) working for the Iliad? That would be awesome.
