do i need any more leads other than the one that came .i.e the usb to recharge. it will not down load any books from disc,s

The USB cable should allow a side-ways transfer of books for you, from PC - otherwise does your Kindle not use wi-fi ? Anyhow - unless someone else pops into this thread, I suggest you follow the Kindle link above
