Way to Sync Auto-Delete of News with Kindle?

Hi, I have been enjoying Calibre and its ability to Fetch News and sync it to my Kindle 3.

The new "Keep At Most" (1 issue) option in the Advanced tab for News is a good idea as it automatically deletes old news when it downloads fresh news...I'd like this "auto-deletion" to automatically carry over to my connected Kindle, but haven't been able to figure out how to do this.

Is there a way for this to work? Thanks.

You can't do that with Calibre. The philosophy is that it will only delete items from the device if you explicitly tell it to.

OK, thanks for the reply.

I'd request this feature as a possible future enhancement as a user option.
It would really make daily news fetching and syncing fully automated (other than starting Calibre and plugging in the device).

Sure, go ahead. However, it might not be implemented if no developer is interested in that feature or if Kovid vetoes it.
