Need advice from those who've bought kindle games before!

Yep, need players who've tried the experience out on kindle. Amazon has a bunch of kindle games for sale for only $0.99, and I'm tempted to get some for my baby kindle that is already on the way

has anyone bought the NY crosswords before? is it any good?
any other suggestions would be great, too

I'm loving Mahjong Solitaire and EA Solitaire. Very fun games and good interfaces.

The NY Times crosswords are excellent...easy to use, easy to navigate, easy to read. I am a big fan and hope they continue bringing out more volumes. The 'Easy' volumes are divided equally between Mon, Tues, Wed crosswords and the 'Challenging' are the Thurs, Fri, Sat crosswords. If you like NY Times crosswords (are there any others?!), you will be happy.

The Chess game and the Backgammon games are well done...if you are psychotic about these games you may be disappointed but I like them. The chess game can be set from fairly easy to extremely challanging.

The Scrabble game is enjoyable, though its dictionary is 'creative' at times.

The Solitaire game (group of 12) is visually good and plays quickly...what can you say, it's solitaire. Beats carrying a deck of cards.

The Sudoku game was probably the best surprise for me...I never had really played before and wasn't really interested, but have to admit it is one of my favorites and I'm now hooked.

I have both EA Sudoku (by Electronic Arts) and Sudoku Unbound #1 (by Puzzazz). They're both rated very well at Amazon, but I much prefer EA Sudoku myself. I like that you can highlight individual numbers with the EA version because it makes it easier to see the number patterns.

I play Triple Town almost every night, and I love it!

I also bought all the on-sale NY Times crosswords, for my sister

I agree...I prefer the EA Sudoku. I was thinking of EA when I wrote my earlier post and forgot about the other versions.

May I suggest Word Soup as well? I doubted it at first, but it's quite fun.

it would be great if they had a trial version...

i'm kind of tempted by the EA Solitaire...anyone here try that?

I bought EA Sudoku at half-price a month or so ago. It'll probably go on sale again, but I do think it's worth the current price of $3.99.

I hope you enjoy Triple Town! I suggest that you choose "Play Tutorial" to start. The "How to Play" instructions are also available via the Menu button, and there's "Advanced Help" there too.

actually, my kindle is in the process of being delivered to my uncle in LA, but amazon said i could start getting apps for my baby

i'm also waiting for that fighting fantasy game to go on sale. it looks really cool, for those who like RPG games
