Calibre Freezing

I have used Calibre for quite some time and never had a problem but yesterday I went to convert a couple of books and everything worked fine until I clicked the conversion button. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program to no avail. I ran a virus check to see if something was interfering but there was nothing. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help?

If you'd tell us what actually happened when you clicked the conversion button, maybe we'd be able to help.
