PB 602 calls home every time to verify permissions

Short of stripping DRM, how can I get my PB602 to read purchased or loaned (library) books without 'downloading' every time. I have ADE on my Linux Ubuntu 10.10 desktop and when I want to read a legitimately downloaded book I get it immediately. The same book on PB602 requires verification each and every time. Both devices are registered.

This means that if I am away from any wifi connection, I cannot read my DRM protected books on my PB602.

I believe I read somewhere that this is a fault with PB602.

I hope someone can help please.

Hi,
just try to get a DRM book using your WLAN on the device. With last FW update ADE was removed for some reason, and just reauthorizing on PC doesn'n work. but once you download a book he will ask for ADE registration and you are done (probably until next FW)

I can't open a book I bought on Bookland since I installed the new firmware 2.0.4. Books that I didn't bought aren't a problem.

Thanks troll05. I tried that but although the browser can get to sites like bbc.co.uk I have had a series of strange errors from my Library e.g. '500 Internal server error' and 'Page does not exist'. The same URLs work on my laptop however.
I did de-authorise Adobe on the PB and then had to log on to Bookland before re-authorising via Adobe. After a period of dismay I am back to square 1, still having to authorise each borrowed book every time I open it.

Is anyone getting good results out of the hacked version of Midori? I have not tried it yet - I want to improve PB one step at a time!

don't know about DRM, but - apart from not going into landscape mode) it will remember all the changes in the options you select, bookmarks etc, which the standard webmail does not do.
