Free book (Kindle?/Kobo) - The King's Favor [Historical Fiction]

For The King's Favor, a historical fiction novel by Elizabeth Chadwick (might be a romantic historical, or even a historical romance) is free courtesy of publisher Sourcebooks.

Currently only showing at $0.00 for Canadian Kindlers at Amazon, but no doubt it will drop later for everyone else.

ETA: all the newly posted Sourcebooks and Samhain and Christian fiction offerings have now dropped to free for Canadian Kindlers. The Kensington stuff is still showing full price.

Seems to have expired off Amazon (or it's being extra glitchy with the price fluctuation because this is still showing in the technical freebies price search).

But now free @ Kobo for non-Canadian customers (I was able to check US).

Incidentally, another Elizabeth Chadwick novel that was free last month, Greatest Knight, is still offered freebie at Kobo for non-Canadians.

Incidentally, I just found out that Kobo has been hiding their freebies and not putting up books that are/were free from other retailers which are also free there on their official Free Books page.

Now I'm wondering what else I've been missing.

Maybe it's time to do another Sony/Kobo/ADE-compatible freebies round-up, since it seems they can't be bothered to actually point their customers at their actual promotional free offerings.

Got a note from the publisher, it was a pricing error (so it won't last long at Kobo, either).

And here I'd been thinking they'd done well enough from last month's free book by the same author that they were doing another freebie to draw attention to her promo-priced $2.99 new release (not available to Canadians) which they've been pushing on their special deals page.

Ah well, Sourcebooks has been pretty generous with the freebies overall, even if 4/5ths of their catalogue doesn't interest me in the least. But they've been reprinting some older "classic" historicals-with-optional-mild-romance so I expect one day I'll buy a couple to pay them back when Kobo's got a good discount coupon.

You can also get this one from Borders, but not via the web page. Log into the desktop, search the title and you'll find the free edition (and a pay edition, so pick the one that says "download" and not the one with a $$ price).
